Arvind asks officials to impose heavy fine on those dumping trash along ORR

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar has asked his department officials to lay emphasis on increasing green cover on both sides of the Outer Ring Road. Cleanliness and beautification should be at par with the stretch on the
Airport, he said.

Arvind Kumar, accompanied by HMDA officials traveled on the ORR from Gachibowli to Shamshabad and instructed the officials to ensure that both sides around the toll gate should be kept clean in a couple of days. He also said the officials should conduct periodic inspections so as to ensure that cleanliness and greenery was maintained all along the Outer Ring Road. The officials were told to ensure proper sweeping of the main carriageway of ORR, cleaning of entire right of way, including removal of trash and debris, slopes, painting of kerbs, maintenance of medians and illumination of rocks en route the ORR is taken up at the earliest.
He also said heavy fines should be levied against those who dump trash and debris illegally on the sides of the ORR. Pruning of trees where signages are available and watering of plants all along the road should be taken up regularly. He directed the toll plaza operators to keep the premises clean and take up beautification with plotted plants within the Toll plaza area.

HMDA Chief Engineer BLN Reddy, Director, Urban Forestry Srinivas and Project Director ORR Harinatha Reddy and others were present.
