Tension prevailed for sometime outside the Korutla Court here on Wednesday when Arya-Vaishyas and BJP activists tried to pelt the eggs on Prof. Kanche Ilaiah, who wrote controversial book titled ‘Samajika Smugglarlu Komatollu’. The police obstructed the agitators and arrested them. The Arya-Vaishyas staged agitation before the Court along with BJP activists against Ilaiah, who came to appear before the Court.
Earlier, the BJYM activists staged agitation at lodge he stayed in Jagtiyal. They tried to attack the hotel leading to tension. The police reached the spot and chased away the agitators from there. The police shifted Ilaiah from Jagtiyal to Korutla Court with protection. (NSS)
