Hyderabad: Responding to the announcement of BJP manifesto committee chairman NBSS Prasad that they would distribute one lakh cows in the State if his party wins elections and form the government, AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has requested the former to give him a cow which he will protect it and treat it as sacred animal.
Speaking at a program in the city today, Asaduddin asked whether the BJP give me a cow. I would protect it as a sacred animal. Will they give me one? he asked. It may be mentioned here that the BJP-ruled States had recently proclaimed that they would create ministry for cow protection. Going a step further, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had announced that she would allocate Rs 100 crore in annual budget for cow protection and take special measures towards that end.
