Asad discusses issues with GHMC commissioner

Hyderabad MP & AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, along with Charminar MLA Ahmed Pasha today met GHMC Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy.

They discussed about various issues, including developmental works to be taken up in the old city.  The issues, which came up for discussion include construction of multi-level parkings at Charminar Bus Stand and reconstruction of the existing Murgi Chowk after dismantling it. The MP also suggested a Corridor development from I.S Sadan junction to Nalgonda crossroads.

The MIM supremo also discussed about elevated corridor from Zoo Park to Aramgarh and a solution for the Puranapul Junction by taking up of a flyover from Puranapul to City College. The MP also suggested Declaration of Old City of Hyderabad as Flood Free Zone by taking up of widening of balance nala as per Kirloskar committee report. Widening of the nala should be done under four phases, he said, adding that under phase-I Balance length Murki Nala and Kishan Bagh nala widening at a cost of Rs 75 crore.

Under Phase-II, Kishanbagh Nala 1 and Indira Nagar Nala should be taken up at a cost of Rs 45 crore. Under Phase-III, Shivarampally to Oora Cheruvu and Shivaji Nagar should be taken up at a cost of Rs 70 crore and under Phase-IV, Yasrab Nagar Nala, Talabkatta to Chota bridge, Bahadurpura and Mplakachilla drain will be taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 40 crore.
