Asaduddin Owaisi reacts to Kerala BJP President’s remark ‘Muslims can be identified by removing their clothes’

Hyderabad: Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi, President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) reacted to the remark, “Muslims can be identified by removing their clothes” which was made by Kerala BJP President, Mr. PS Sreedharan Pillai.

Mr. Owaisi tweeted, “It seems Sanghi leaders are only EXPERTS in human anatomy. After all, their experience is rich: Gujarat 2002, Bilqis Bano ,Ehsan Jafri,Akhlaq, Pehli Khan, Junaid, Shaukat Ali & innumerable others #BJPDogWhistle”.

He further wrote, “Also, if you want to identify a Muslim, ask. No need to lift clothing, what is this Sanghi obsession with Muslim men & what’s under their clothing?”.

According to the report published in The News Minute, Mr. Pillai had given the controversial statement at a public meeting held in Attingal where he was campaigning for BJP’s candidate Sobha Surendran. His remark was the reply to the opposition’s question on the number of people killed in the air strike.

Referring to Balakot Air Strike, he said, “our Rahul Gandhi, Yechury, and Pinarayi wants our soldiers to count the number of people died along with their caste, religion etc”.

Continuing his speech, he said, ‘if it is Islam, will there be any sign? If clothes are removed then only it can be known’

Referring to the opposition, he said, ‘they want these things to be done before returning’.
