Asaduddin Owaisi’s sharp tongue strengthens opponents

Hyderabad: During the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected members of 17th Lok Sabha, slogan shouting and unhealthy remarks were witnessed.

Later, when arguments started on Triple Talaq Bill, many flaws came to limelight. Many political parties termed these bills as a hasty step based on discrimination.

The man who overshadowed the parliament discussions and attracted the attention of all the members of parliament was MIM MP of Hyderabad, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi who is also the president of his party. Whatever arguments he put forth on the issue of Triple Talaq Bill, perturbed Law Minister, Mr. Ravi Shanker Prasad.

Mr. Prasad therefore, commented that whatever Mr. Owaisi said supports the stand taken by Congress party.

He told that it is very regrettable that Congress party is opposing Triple Talaq Bill.

It may be mentioned that Mr. Owaisi got elected to Parliament for the fourth consecutive time. In the house of Parliament consisting of 543 MPs, the number of MIM MPs has risen from one to two. It has now become a force which cannot be neglected.

MIM could be a very small party and it may not cause any effect on the success of BJP but certainly it may make saffron party poll maximum number of votes by way of dividing secular votes.

It is very clear that Mr. Owaisi takes an unambiguous stand against BJP which unintentionally fulfills the purpose of BJP. All these facts undoubtedly point out to suspicion that Mr. Owaisi is an instrument to support BJP. It is true that if MIM participates in elections, the chances of the opposition winning the polls get reduced.

If Mr. Owaisi wants to expand his arena of politics, he should come out from this whirlwind and stop using his sharp tongue which benefits his opponents.
