ASHA worker threw half a dozen bangles on PM Modi’s convoy, detained

VADODARA: A woman reportedly belonging to the Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) was detained on Sunday for throwing bangles at PM Modi’s cavalcade during his roadshow in the Vadodara city.

As per Times of India report, the ASHA worker identified as Chandrika Solanki is the president of women wing of Contract and Fixed Salary Struggles Committee.

She was leading the protest demanding the benefits like identity cards, fix working hours and maternity leaves similar to that of permanent government employees.

PM’s cavalcade was passing by the VUDA circle when she threw bangles.

Justifying her act Chandrika told,”We had gone on hunger strike but government is insensitive towards our condition. So, I had thrown bangles on the PM as mark of protest. I was detained when I threw half a dozen bangles on the PM for the second time.”

Security officials immediately detained Chandrika before she could repeat her act.

The video of the woman chanting Narendra Modi murdabad has now gone viral on social media.
