ASOs hold blood donation camp at MCRHRD

Hyderabad: The Officers Club of the ASOs, Central Secretariat Services, New Delhi, who are undergoing Foundation Course at Dr MCR HRD Institute here organized a Blood Donation Camp on July 7.

The Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad, which was represented at the camp by a team of medical and para-medical staff, was the recipient Institution. The ASO Trainees, Officers, Faculty, and Staff of the Institute, who attended the camp in large numbers, donated about 50 units of blood.

M P Sethy, Chief Consultant (Training & e-Learning), inaugurated the camp. He congratulated the Trainee ASOs and staff of the Institute for donating blood. “Blood remains the most precious thing and donation of blood, even in small quantities, is an important step for a noble cause. “The hallmark of Government service is a service to citizens. Blood donation is one of the ways in which employees can be of help to the society”, he added.

Sagar, Secretary of the Officers Club stated that availability of right type and quantity of blood in the hospitals will be greatly instrumental in saving the precious lives of patients. “The Blood Donation Camp was an occasion for us to realize the importance of community service”, opined the Trainee ASOs unanimously. “The blood donation does not make a person weak as the human body produces new blood continuously”, said the medical and para medical staff unanimously.

Sriram Prasad, Course Coordinator, Professor Deepa Nair, Additional Course Coordinator (Non-Academic), and Sri Govind Raj, Associate Professor & DG’s Nominee were also present. On the occasion, the Officers Club organized “Bada Khana” as a thanks giving gesture to the entire support staff of the Institute, who provided multifarious services to the trainee ASOs during their Foundation Course.

Deepanshu Katheriya, Mohammed Danish, Sweety Raj and Chikirsha Prakash of the Officers Club put their best foot forward to make the event a great success. (NSS)
