Assassination of Mahatma Gandhi: Self-styled Hindu court’s judge gives controversial statement

Meerut: Judge of the first self-styled Hindu court, Pooja Shakun Pandey gave a controversial statement about the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.

According to the report published in India Today, Pandey said that she would have killed Gandhi if Godse had not done it.

It may be mentioned that this court was set up by Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM). They set up first such court in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Appreciating Nathuram Godse, Pandey said that she and ABHM worship him.

It may be noted that Nathuram Godse had assassinated Mahatma Gandhi in New Delhi on 30th January 1948.

Who is Pandey?

Pandey is a Professor of Mathematics and a social worker. Earlier, she had asked victims of triple Talaq and nikah halala to convert to Hinduism.

The ABHM disclosed that more Hindu courts will be set up across the country. It also said that the courts will hear cases of land disputes, property and marriage issues.

Allahabad High Court sought information from UP Government in this regard.
