Assembly poll 2018: Satta Bazaar predict Congress in MP, Raj; BJP in Chhattisgarh; TRS in Telangana

NEW DELHI: Ahead of upcoming assembly elections, Satta (speculation) market has also started predicting the fate of the upcoming electoral battle.

If the Satta Market that runs into crores in every assembly elections believes, the punters (Satoriyas) predict Congress in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, BJP in Chhattisgarh and TRS in Telangana this poll season.

According to a bookie based in Rajasthan’s Sikar town, “In the ‘satta market’ low price indicates victory while high price indicates defeat.”

In Madhya Pradesh, the satta (local bettors) are predicting that a clear win for the Congress that has made a lot of ground in the last fortnight.

For the last fifteen years, the BJP government led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan is ruling in Madhya Pradesh but is difficult to live this time as the saffron party is facing acute anti-incumbency over various issues. Conversely, Congress party has been shown gaining grounds and is looking to end its fifteen years of exile.

The satta market favours the BJP in Chhattisgarh, where polling ended on Tuesday.

In Telangana, according to satta operators, the bettors favour the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) to return to power. “The stakes for KCR is high but the mood has slightly changed in the past fortnight with rates for the Congress-led grand alliance picking up,” said a Hyderabad-based bookie, reported Hindustan Times.
