It may be mentioned that the then Commissioner of Hyderabad City Police, Mr. M. Mahender Reddy had framed PD Act against Ayub Khan on 25th January 2017 and he was sent to jail. Fast track court was hearing the case of fake passport so that the hearing could be completed before the expiry of PD Act.

Police had arrested him and started various other cases. Ayub Khan filed a writ petition in Hyderabad High Court challenging the police action against him under PD Act.

Two member bench of the Hyderabad High Court consisting of Justice CV Nagarjuna Reddy and Justice Suresh Kumar set aside the PD Act against Ayub Khan and ordered to release him.

It may be mentioned that Ayub Khan was arrested in 2016 at Mumbai International Airport when he had come back to India from Dubai on a fake passport.

Last week, Ayub Khan was released on bail for a day to enable him to participate in the funeral rites of her deceased mother.
