Azad Hind Fauj freedom fighter passed away unrecognized at the age of 92

A brave freedom fighter who fought beside Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose passed away from the world unrecognized for his duty towards the nation at the age of 92.

Azad Hind Fauj veteran Fauzi Sheikh Ramzan Qureshi bravely fought against Burma and Japan along with Netaji Subhash Bose for which the freedom fighter was also imprisoned says India Times.

The 92-year-old veteran passed away in poverty with no pension granted as a freedom fighter unlike other freedom fighters recognized by the whole nation for their duties towards the motherland, Times Now reports.

Mr. Fauzi used to live in a village in Mandosil in the Paikmal Block of Bargargh district in Odisha. He was only recently honoured by the state government on January 18.

Time and again most political parties recall the teachings of freedom fighter’s, showing care and respect for these fighters, there is actually none to respect those who have lost their life’s battling for the nation or those who are living legends of those wars.

This freedom fighter spent his whole life unrecognized by the Government and died in poverty.

According to the reports this veteran even at the age of 92, would repair umbrellas to make a living for his two children Halima, 22 and Alim who is 21.

The veteran though tried to join the army after Independence, he was not accepted.
