Azhar Ali got run out in a most bizarre way ever seen in the cricket history

The second Test between Pakistan vs Australia is being played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi and on the day 3 of the match, Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq gave a new meaning to self-destruction.

Both were involved in one of the most extraordinary run outs seen in the history of Test cricket. The incident happened in the 52nd over when Peter Siddle got Azhar Ali to edge a delivery to third-man. The two batsmen were seen chatting in the middle of the pitch thinking that it went for a boundary, without realising that the ball hadn’t reached the boundary.

Mitchell Starc picked the ball from the boundary and threw it to the wicketkeeper Tim Paine, who quickly whipped off the bails, Azhar Ali was left with a shock and had to walk back to the pavilion. Mickey Arthur, the Pakistan coach shook his head in disbelief.
