B-town gives thumbs up to ‘Sui Dhaaga’

New Delhi: Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma’s ‘Sui Dhaaga: Made In India’ which released on Friday has already won hearts of many.

The movie has garnered attention not only from the entire Bollywood fraternity but also from Indian cricketers.

Anushka’s husband, cricketer Virat Kohli took to Twitter to praise his ‘Love’ and Varun for their brilliant performances. He wrote, “Saw @SuiDhaagaFilm for the second time last night and I loved it more than the first time. What an emotional rollercoaster with brilliant performances by the entire cast. (1) #SuiDhaagaMadeInIndia.”

His other tweet was filled with praises for his wife. “(2) Mauji was superb @Varun_dvn. But Mamta’s character stole my heart totally. Her ability to be so quiet yet so powerful and impactful makes you fall in love with her. SO PROUD my love @AnushkaSharma . Don’t miss it guys! #SuiDhaagaMadeInIndia,” read the tweet.

Varun’s ‘Badrinath ki Dhulania’ director Shashank Khaitan also lauded the team writing, “#SuiDhaga is a simply adorable film with a very strong message… its honest and absolutely loveable… the writing and performances are outstanding… super job @Sharatkatariya and #ManeeshSharma … @Varun_dvn @AnushkaSharma.”

Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan took to his Instagram and uploaded a snap with Anushka, Virat and her wife Sagarika Ghatge. He wrote, “#suidhaaga is a must watch . A big congratulations to @anushkasharma @varundvn and the entire team . Mamta and Mauji #sabbadhiyahai.”

Director Ali Abbas Zaffar also tweeted, “What a beautiful film #SuiDhaaga is , brilliant performances @AnushkaSharma @Varun_dvn & entire cast , to keep it simple is the toughest , @Sharatkatariya is the real hero. Sach mein ” made in India ”

‘Sui Dhaga – Made In India’ is based on the stories of self-reliance and high spirits of the two central characters, Mamta and Mauji, rooted in an earthy town of India.

Varun and Anushka have been paired for the first time and have become the most-awaited, freshest on-screen Jodi of 2018.
