Babri demolition anniversary: MBT calls for Bandh on December 6

In connection with the anniversary of the demolition of the disputed structure at Babri Masjid, the Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) has called Telangana Bandh on December 6.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Monday, MBT president Majeed Ullah Khan and its office-bearers appealed to the people who believe in secularism to observe December 6 as ‘black day’ and bandh. They also demanded immediate arrest of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat for “creating confusion and waging war against the nation by saying that Mandir would be built where the Babri Masjid was demolished under any circumstances, even as the matter was sub-judice in Supreme Court.

The MBT leaders recalled that in 1992 “fascist” forces demolished the Babri Masjid flouting the Supreme Court Status Quo order. They also said if secular forces failed in defending the secular agenda and save secularism which preaches unity in diversity, the fascist fundamentalist reactionary forces would subvert the very idea of Secular India and make the country a theocratic State in which the majority on strength of numbers would try to deprive the fundamental rights of Minorities.
