Babri Masjid issue: Muslim Personal Law Board sticks to its stand

Lucknow: In a meeting of All India Muslim Personal Law Board Working Committee held at Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama in Lucknow under the chairmanship of Maulana Hasni Nadwi.

Addressing a press conference following the meeting, the number of Majlis e Shura of Muslim Personal Law Board and chairman of Babri Masjid Action Committee Zafaryab Jilani told the media persons that the Court’s judgement will be acceptable to the Board in Babri Masjid case.

On the question of Board’s silence over the provocative statement by various extremist organisations on the issue of Ram temple, Zafaryab Jilani said we have trust in Court. And silence is the only answer to such people.

On the other hand, Kamal Farooqui said the whole India should react to the provocation and should take the matter seriously and respond to it.

Mr Qasim Rasool Ilyas while referring to the various judgments of Supreme Court and High Court said, though it is not possible if it is tried to bring an ordinance the Board will move to Supreme Court.
