Balakrishna warns Centre on SCs to AP

Hindupuram TDP MLA and cine actor Nandmuri Balakrishna today strongly criticised BJP and warned that they will not keep quiet if injustice was done to Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing the diksha camp where chief minister and TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu is on a day long hunger strike, Balakrishna asserted that special category status is the right of Telugu people.

Recalling the services of late NTR he said before formation of TDP, telugu people were known as Madrasis. But after TDP started by legendary NTR to protect the self-respect Telugu they were known as Telugu people and within nine months the party led by late NTR captured power. Chandrababu Naidu is also today fighting to protect Andhra Pradesh and holding diksha demanding SCS for the state, the actor turned politician said and asserted that the party had alliance with NDA led by BJP anticipating all help in all round development of the state after unscientific division of the state.

Issuing a warning to BJP, Balakrishna said now time has gone to maintain cordial relation, now it is time for a direct fight against BJP as NDA government has neglected state interest.

Lambasting the BJP for having alleged friendship with YSRC led by Jaganmohan Reddy, he said BJP will not get a single seat in Andhra Pradesh in coming elections. Alleging that there was nexus between BJP and YSRC, Balakrishna said that that party is playing a drama in the name of hunger strike .(NSS)
