Bamboo products’ deal with Tripura likely: Jogu

Telangana BC Welfare Minister Jogu Ramanna today said an expert team of Tripura Bamboo Mission will visit Telangana State soon and strike a deal to promote its products.

A deal was signed with bamboo industrial area at Bodhjang Nagar in Tripura to work with Telangana Government to promote bamboo products such as furniture, ceiling, mats, pillars and others, he said. During his official visit to Tripura State, minister Ramanna inspected the bamboo industry and production of material with raw bamboo sticks and making full-fledged products.

Tripura Government Principal Secretary (Finance and Industries) Nagaraju has apprised the minister of bamboo related products. The minister also inspected the transportation of bamboo products and bamboo field on the borders of Bangladesh. Prasad, another forest officer in Tripura government, who is also a Telugu, explained about the bamboo varieties and laboratory.

Telangana MBC Corporation Chairman T Srinivas, CEO Alok Kumar, PCCF Prashanth Kumar, Telangana Medara Association members Venkata Ramudu, Balaraj, Srinivas and Devender were present. (NSS)
