Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor’s demise on Monday is being grieved by all Bollywood fans in India as well as outside the country.

People are pouring in their condolences on social media, especially on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

When several news channels are giving tributes to the legendary actor, BBC News however in their coverage showed video clips of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor, while remembering him.

The news anchor announced his death and played a visual of movie Kabhie Kabhie. But to everyone’s surprise, Shashi Kapoor was not showed and the visual was cut with Amitabh Bachchan’s feature, moving to a clip of Rishi Kapoor.

The BBC news channel was trolled on Twitter for their ‘ignorance’ in this way:

A similar, rather witty response had come from MP Shashi Tharoor, when a typo had mistaken Shashi Tharoor for Shashi Kapoor by Times Now.

Tharoor, as always, was quick to reply.

Times Now then apologised for their typographical error.
