PATNA: The Bihar Police said on Monday that they have arrested four persons for molesting a minor girl in Jehanabad district after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
‘4 people arrested in connection with the case. Faces of two people have been matched with people in the video and other two were making the clip,’ Nayyar Hasnain Khan, Patna Zonal IG was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
‘Other 4-5 people have been named by them. Search operation is underway,’ Khan added.

The video captured by a local went viral on social media and messaging apps shows a teenage girl being attacked, molested and stripped by a group of seven youths in broad daylight. The took place on Saturday.
“At least 3-4 boys are touching the girl inappropriately and trying to overpower her when she makes escape attempts. They are also trying to take off her clothes and laughing, while someone is filming the horrifying act,” a local police officer told DNA.
The girl’s continuous pleading with the group “Bhaiya meharbani karo bhaiya (brother, please have mercy on me)” in a bid to prevent them from outraging her modesty and repeated “nos” fall on deaf ears.
Jehanabad’s Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar said special investigation team (SIT) arrested four of the accused and also seized a motorbike with registration number (BR-25) seen in the video. Those arrested have been identified as Amar Kumar, Deepak Kumar, and Sunil Kumar- are over 18 years of age and a juvenile .
An FIR under POCSO Act was lodged against seven people involved in the case.
