Bhatti to contest for MLA seat only

Stating that he has no plans to contest as an MP in the coming 2019 elections, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has made it clear that he will contest as an MLA only. He said that the appointment of DCC president was under the purview of party high command and hoped that the high command will appoint the president very soon.

Speaking to the media here on Monday, Bhatti said he decided to contest as an MLA to fulfil the needs of the local people. He alleged that 470 Rural Water Schemes (RWS) were being wasted due to the State government’s partisan attitude. There was no leader from the ruling party to solve the drinking water problem in several villages in Khammam district. He also alleged that the district minister and Collector have the responsibility of solving drinking water problem by conducting review meeting but they were not thinking in that direction, he added.
