Hyderabad: Sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force personnel today apprehended an accused for theft of costly cell phones from “BIG C Show Room” at Beeramguda under Ramachandrapuram Police limits and recovered 35 costly Cell phones and six Memory Cards of Sandisc company from his possession.
The accused was identified as Khan alias Fayaz, 38, who sells old clothes at Secunderabad and also garlic and ginger at Mahmood Nagar, Kishanbagh. Police said the accused had been committing house burglaries since 2014. From 2014 to 2016, Faiyazullah Khan along with his friend Shaik Ahmed alias Lalu committed six property offences in the limits of Chaderghat, Begumpet, Chikkadapally and LB Nagar Police Stations. Both were arrested in March 2016 by the Chaderghat Police under Preventive Detection Act and sent to Chanchalguda jail.
After his release from jail in June 2017, Fayaz committed offences in the limits of RGI Airport PS, Shamshabad PS, Rachakonda Commissionarate and Nalgonda I Town. He was convicted to undergo three months RI in Nalgonda I Town PS case. In April, 2018 he was released from jail and continued his old cloths selling business at Secundera’bad Railway station as well as selling Ginger and Garlic in Hyderabad by moving with an Auto. As his income was not sufficient, he resumed robberies. In the last week of December, 2018, he made a recce in Beeramguda area of Ramachandrapuram PS limits and selected one Big C mobile showroom for committing crime. On the midnight of December 28, Fayaz entered the Big C Mobiles showroom, Beeramguda by making a hole to a side wall of the showroom and lifted 35 costly Cell phones of Samsung, VIVO, Oppo and six memory cards of Sandisc company and fled.
On Saturday, Fayaz came to Jagadish Market, Abids to sell the stolen cell phones. But on a tip-off, the West Zone Task Force team nabbed him and recovered 35 Cell phones and Memory Cards of Sandisc company from his possession. The accused, along with the stolen Cell phones were handed over to the Ramchandrapuram Police.
