Muzaffarpur: In a shameful incident which took place in Muzaffarpur District of Bihar, Panchayat ordered a woman to lick her own spit as punishment over the rental dispute.
According to the report published in India Today, Ram Dulari Devi (40) went to Panchayat to resolve her problem of non-payment of rent by her tenant.
She claimed that her tenant is not paying the rent for the past two months. She had rented her shop to Arun Singh. She alleged that Arun Singh signed the agreement to pay the rent of Rs. 2500 but he was paying only Rs. 2000. She also alleged that he was not even vacating the shop.
The shocking act is that after heated arguments, Panchayat forced Dulari Devi to lick her own spit in public. The entire incident was recorded and the video went viral.

Later, Dulari Devi approached the police and lodged a complaint against Arun Singh and the panchayat members. However, no FIR has been registered yet.
Talking about the incident, Gaurav Pandey, DSP of East Muzaffarpur said that a complaint has been received and verification of allegations is going on.
It may be mentioned that earlier, in Nalanda District of Bihar, an elderly-looking man was allegedly made to spit and lick as a punishment for entering the Sarpanch‘s house without knocking.
