Bihar: Tantrik seeks permission to sacrifice ‘Engineer’ son, writes letter to authorities

Begusarai (Bihar): Bizarre rituals have always been existing in India but an occultist recently has shocked the authorities after he formally sought permission for human sacrifice to propitiate his deity.

Shockingly the occultist sought permission to sacrifice his own son who is an engineer, News18 reports.

The occultist identified Surendra Prasad Singh a resident of Mohanpur Pahadpur village falling under Mofussil Police Station area sent an application to Sub Divisional Officer (Sadar), Begusarai on January 29 making the weird request claiming human sacrifice is not a crime.

The screenshots of the purported letter from the occultist have gone viral on social media, but the SDO Sanjiv Kumar Chaudhary said he had not received it.

“This is a serious matter. Human sacrifice is illegal. We have launched a hunt for the letter as well as the tantrik. Appropriate action will be taken,” he said.

“Bindu Maa Manav Kalyan Sanstha” states the letterhead of the application which Singh claims to be the head. He said it was registered under the Societies Registration Act.

“Human sacrifice is not a crime. I have been ordered to perform the same by Goddess Kamakhya. And the first person I shall be sacrificing my son, an engineer by profession, who refuses to give financial aid to my temple. He is like Ravana,” Singh is shown as saying in the video which went viral.

According to the village residents, Singh is known as “Pagla baba” (crazy godman) because of his peculiar behaviour which includes often walking around naked or carrying a human skull in his hand.

But given his unstable temperament, we are now scared as our children could be easy prey, villagers Sudhir Kumar, Ajay Kumar and Prabhat Kumar said.
