Bizarre: Flight forced to return as Woman passenger forgets newborn in waiting hall

Riyadh: Regular Traveler’s hardly forgotten their bags or luggage at an airport but it’s equally shocking and surprising to know that a woman forgot her newborn baby at the airport and moreover even boarded the plane.

Flights are generally not cleared to return to airports to collect the forgotten article not unless there is a major emergency and that is exactly what happened in this Saudi Arabian Airlines flight Flight SV832 bounded from Jeddah to Kuala Lumpur, TimesNow reports.

The passenger only realized that she has forgotten her baby in the waiting hall for departure after the plane took off and was in the air, reports Gulf News.

The passenger panicked when she realized her baby was not on the plane which forced the pilot to turn around the plane and go back to King Abdulaziz International Airport.

According to reports, the flight was turned back after the woman passenger informed the cabin crew that she had forgotten her baby at the terminal of the Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport.

When the Pilot made the unusual request to turn back the plane to the Airport, the ATC operators were surprised to know the situation.

They spent several minutes figuring out the protocol to be followed in such incidents.

“This flight is requesting to come back…a passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area, the poor thing,” the pilot can be heard in the video that has gone viral.

“Ok, head back to the gate. This is totally a new one for us!” replies an ATC operator.

However, the bizarre incident had a happy ending as the woman passenger was reunited with her baby at the airport.
