BJP demands Rahul’s apology for insulting late PVNR

Hyderabad: BJP MP and national spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao demanded an apology from Congress president Rahul Gandhi for the way that party had treated with the body of former prime minister late P V Narasimha Rao.

Speaking to media at state party office at Nampally here, the BJP MP reminded that the body of PV Narasimha Rao was not allowed to be kept in the Congress party headquarters at the behest of Sonia Gandhi, though Rao had served Congress party in various capacities and contributed his services to the nation and who was known as father of reforms.

Rahul Gandhi, who is on Telangana state visit, should tender an apology to the people before asking for votes, he demanded. Criticising the Congress party for its behaviour towards Telugu leaders, the BJP MP alleged that Congress party has insulted great Telugu leader PV, and even father of Rahul Gandhi had also insulted a CM of united Andhra Pradesh.

The congress party always has a levity towards south Indian states, particularly Telugu speaking states, he alleged.
