BJP to hold Chief Ministers meeting today, as the upcoming polls are approaching

PM Narendra Modi, the president of BJP Amit Shah and 15 Chief Ministers from the BJP party will attend a meeting in Delhi today as the central government is gearing up for the Lok Sabha polls, which are less than eight months away.

The elections are to be held later this year in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, which all are ruled by the BJP. This reason behind this meeting could be due to the upcoming assembly elections in three states and the Lok Sabha polls, and these would be likely discussed in the day-long meeting.

The BJP’s deputy chief ministers from different states will also attend the meeting. The agenda of good governance, bringing an inflation down and running pro-poor policies have been a key feature of the chief ministers’ meetings, which have been taking place regularly.
