BJP leader decides to quit politics if Modi is not re-elected

Hyderabad: Will leave politics if Narendra Modi is not re-elected for a second consecutive term said BJP State unit president K Laxman who plans to quit politics if BJP fails to remain in power at central.

While addressing the Hyderabad and Secunderabad constituencies’ party workers at a meeting in the city, Laxman threw an open challenge to TRS president K T Rama Rao asking whether he is willing to quit politics if Modi becomes the Prime Minister for the second time, TT reports.

“TRS will not make any difference at the Centre even if it wins 16 seats in Telangana because BJP will get enough seats to form the government at the Centre,” Laxman reminded.

He reminded the workers that Lok Sabha elections are entirely different from Assembly elections and claimed people will re-elect Modi for all the developments he has made so far for the nation.

“When terror struck Mumbai, the then UPA government failed to give a fitting reply to Pakistan or terrorists, but the NDA government launched surgical strikes and airstrike to avenge Uri, Pathankot and Pulwama incidents,” he said.
