BJP leaders threaten to stall release of film Zila Gorakhpur

Lucknow: BJP leaders have threatened to stall the release of film Zila Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. They allege that it has wrongly projected the image of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The objection is over a poster, released on Sunday, in which the back of a saffron-clad bald man carrying a pistol is shown. BJP leaders have lodged an FIR against filmmaker Vinod Tiwari while the filmmakers say it was not the picture of the CM. Part of a temple is also shown in the poster, which BJP leaders say is a depiction of Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur.

Though the film was being seen as a biopic of Adityanath, the buzz is that it is based on a mob lynching incident, writes the Pioneer.
