BJP MLA Raja Singh targets Sania Mirza after Pulwama attack

Hyderabad: After Pulwama attack which took lives of around 40 CRPF personnel, BJP MLA, Mr. Raja Singh targeted Indian tennis star, Ms. Sania Mirza.

According to the report published in Mumbai Mirror, he asked Chief Minister of Telangana State, Mr. KCR to remove Sania Mirza as the brand ambassador of Telangana.

Citing reason for his demand, he said that Sania Mirza is a daughter-in-law of Pakistan. He also suggested the names of other players, V.V.S. Lakshman, Saina Nehwal and P.V. Sindhu for the title of Brand Ambassador of Telangana.

It may be mentioned that Ms. Sania was named as Brand Ambassador of Telangana in 2014.

Earlier, Mr. Singh had taken out a candle march to protest against the deadliest attack on the CRPF in Kashmir.

On Thursday, in the deadliest terror attack on security forces in Kashmir, 49 CRPF personnel were killed. Their convoy which was targeted in Pulwama district on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway comprised 78 buses in which around 2500 personnel were traveling from Jammu to Srinagar.
