BJP to oppose inauguration of Haj House in Ghaziabad

New Delhi: The BJP’s Ghaziabad city unit on Saturday opposed the proposed inauguration of Haj House by UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav next week, claiming it was built in violation of all norms to ‘appease a particular community’.

In a memorandum to the district magistrate, Bharatiya Janata Party’s city unit president Ajay Sharma alleged that the Haj House has been constructed in violation of all building by-laws on the flood plains of River Hindon.

It said that the underground pipeline of Gas Authority of India Ltd is passing near the main building which can pose a security threat, while no environment and air force clearance have been obtain by the construction agency to build such a huge complex.

Attacking the Samajwadi Party government’s priorities, Sharma said that there was utter need of a college for trans-Hindon areas but it”preferred to appease a particular community in violation of building rules” and thus the BJP has decided to oppose the inauguration ceremony.
