Hyderabad: BJP’s top leadership has dismissed the reports that Gosha Mahal MLA Raja Singh will be fielded as Hyderabad Lok Sabha candidate. Senior most leaders of the party on the condition of anonymity said that it has not been a tradition to announce a candidate without consulting local leaders. There is no likelihood of fielding Raja Singh from Hyderabad and national president of the party Amit Shah has not directed anything in this connection.
It must be noted that some media reports are making rounds which say Raja Singh’s name has been finalised from Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency.
When asked about this, state president of the party Dr Lakshman told that when the party decides about a candidate the information will be made public through media.
It is said that the local party by using Raja Singh’s name is trying to persuade Muslims to support the party.
