BJP, TDP leaders recall services of Jagjivan Ram

Babu Jagjivan Ram’s 111th Jayanthi was celebrated across Telangana State as leaders of various parties garlanded his statues at various places and recalled his services to the nation.
Telangana State BJP leaders, including State unit president Dr K Laxman, eulogized the services of Dr Jagjivan Ram for downtrodden sections in the country. They said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was walking on the path of Ambedkar and his government has taken various programs for the benefit of the Dalits in the country. Party floor leader in Assembly G Kishan Reddy, Chinta Sambamurthy and others leaders garlanded the statue of Jagjivan Ram at Basheerbagh crossroads.

Telangana TDP leaders also paid tribute to Babu Jagjivan Ram and recalled his services to protect interests of Dalits in the country. After garlanding the statue, TDP State president L Ramana criticized Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who had promised to make a Dalit as CM, for himself occupying the gaddi, Ramana lamented.
TDP State vice-president Sama Bhupal Reddy, Butchilingam, Nannuri Narsireddy, TNTUC State president B N Reddy and other Dalit leaders attended the program. (NSS)
