BJP teams to visit rain-hit areas to assess crop damage

Telangana BJP today demanded that the State government send officials to assess the crop damage during recent rains in the State and extend financial help to the affected farmers immediately.

Speaking to media here today, G Premender Reddy, general secretary and Kisan Morcha in-charge said his party would launch a three-day “Rythu Bharosa Yatra” from Thursday and visit rain-affected areas in various districts. Giving details of Rythu Bharosa yatra, Premender Reddy said seven BJP delegations each consisting of four to five party leaders would tour various districts across the State to assess the situation and damage caused to crops due to recent rains. A four-member delegation, led by party floor leader in the Assembly G Kishan Reddy would visit Vikarabad district while another delegation led by N Ramchender Rao, city president and leader in legislative Council would visit Gadwal district, he said.

           

Party MLA NVSS Prabhakar would lead a delegation to Nalgonda district and another team led by former MLA Y Laxminarayana would visit Rangareddy district. Khairtabad MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy would lead a five-member delegation, which would visit Karimnagar district and State party vice-president and former MLA Sankineni Venkateshwar Rao would lead a five-member delegation to Bhadradri Kothagudem district while Gujjala Ramakrishna Reddy delegation would tour Kamareddy district, he added.
