BJP trying to vitiate communal atmosphere in MP: Congress

Indore: Madhya Pradesh Congress on Jan 13 slammed the ruling BJP over recent incidents of communal violence in the state, alleging that the saffron party was furthering RSS’s agenda and trying to vitiate the atmosphere.

“The incidents of communal violence are coming to light in the state for the last couple of days. BJP is baffled by its defeat in Jhabua Lok Sabha bypolls and in civic body polls.

So it is pushing forward the RSS agenda to vitiate communal atmosphere,” state Congress chief Arun Yadav said here.

Madhya Pradesh Stone-pelting, arson and rampaging went on in Bag locality of Dhar district but police didn’t act in time against the rioters, Yadav alleged.

With an eye on Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, the saffron party was once again raking up the Ram Mandir issue, he said.

While the state was heavily indebted, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was announcing fake sops to mislead the people of Maihar Assembly constituency where byelection will be held on February 13, the Congress leader added.
