Congress senior leader Oscar Fernandez today alleged that tampering of EVMs led to the defeat of the Congress in Uttar Pradesh local bodies’ elections. He also expressed surprise how the BJP could sweep the elections when people kept themselves off their meetings.
In an informal talk with the media, Osar alleged that the BJP was afraid of elections in Gujarat and postponed them. He claimed that people of Gujarat were solidly behind Rahul Gandhi. He also alleged that the nation was going backwards due to demonetization and GST. The GDP fell down drastically and victory of Congress in 2019 elections was a must and our thoughts are only about 2024 elections, he stated and opined that celebrating AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi’s birthday was minimum courtesy to the people of Telangana as she accorded separate Telangana State and fulfilled their dream of 60 years.
