Baramati: Blind faith cost life of a 5-month-old baby at Baramati, where a woman kept a live fish in the mouth of the baby to stop her from salivating. Trying a domestic remedy, the relative kept a live fish in the mouth of the baby. However, during the process, the fish slipped from the hand of the relative and got stuck in the throat of the baby girl.
The baby wasn’t able to breathe and was rushed to a hospital in Baramati. The doctors undertook surgery and successfully removed the fish from the baby’s throat.
