Bookings for Urdu Maskan closed due to personal rivalries of Secretary Minority Welfare

Hyderabad: Urdu Maskan which was constructed by the government for literary and cultural activities in old city has been locked theses days. On the direction of Secretary Minority Welfare hall booking has been closed. The decision taken by the secretary is the result of his anger over a contract-based employee of Urdu Academy which has become a stumbling block for the literary cultural and religious organisations. They are facing difficulty due to non-availability of a suitable hall for any function. It is said that despite representation by various organisations, Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel has not backtracked and the booking of Urdu Maskan has been closed for 10 days. Notice has been put up at Urdu Maskan which states that booking of Urdu Maskan has been closed on the direction of Secretary Minority Welfare.

According to sources the incharge of Urdu Maskan whose services were outsourced allegedly had a fall out with a person close to the Secretary. On receiving complain the Secretary directed to suspend the said employee and close the booking.
