Sydney: Indian tennis ace Rohan Bopanna and his Romanian partner Florin Mergea produced a remarkable performance on Friday as they claimed a straight-set win to storm into the finals of men’s double event at Sydney International.
The Indo-Romanian pair outclassed Brazilian-Argentine pair of Thomaz Bellucci and Leonardo Mayer 7-6 (10-8), 6-4 in a thrilling semi-final contest.
35-year-old Bopanna, who is a defending champion in this tournament, had won the title last year with Canadian partner Daniel Nestor. (ANI)
