Brian Johnson back in AC/DC for new record

Washington: Rock singer Brian Johnson is back in AC/DC for a new record.

Radio network Triple M cited a Brazilian AC/DC fan website which reported that Johnson had confirmed that he is back with AC/ DC, stating, “Yes. (I’m) tired of denying it”.

Suspicions that Johnson might reunite with Angus Young, Stevie Young, Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams began in August last year when he was photographed with them at a recording studio in Vancouver.

It was the first time the band was spotted together since Phil Rudd was replaced by Chris Slade after he was unable to join the band in 2015 due to legal problems. Meanwhile, Johnson had stepped down from touring with the band in 2016 citing medical reasons.

This is the first confirmation that he has reunited with the band and a new record is on the way.

Notably, Johnson and the rest of the band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
