Disciplinary action was taken against a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan for using ‘Modi programme’ instead of zero parade while reporting his attendance.

BSF Constable Sanjeev Kumar was found guilty on 21 February under section 40 of BSF Act 1968 (Act prejudicial to good order and discipline of the force) for referring every morning zero parade which is a mandatory rule where all the BSF units personnel assemble at a place in order to report their attendance.

He is awarded penalty of seven days pay for disrespecting PM Modi as an offense, Hindu reported.

The BSF order said, “On 21.2.2018, during zero parade, while giving report, you used words ‘Modi Programme’ which shows disrespect towards Hon’ble Prime Minister.”
