Government has released 7.5 Cr. towards Overseas Scholarship Scheme for minority students. In this connection Secretary Minority Welfare issued GO RT 152 on Thursday. The amount has been released as 2nd quarterly instalment of the current year. Government has earmarked a budget of 30 Cr for the scheme. 7.5 Cr was released in the first phase; equivalent amount has been released on Thursday.
Director Minority Welfare has been directed to immediately collect the amount and hand over to the respective District Minority Welfare Officers so that the amount can be transferred to the accounts of selected students.
