Burari case: Deceased boys protested against ritual claims Delhi police

New Delhi: The Burari family’s sudden mysterious death that has shocked Delhi has new developments to the case.

If what Delhi Police claims is true, the two young teenager boys of the Bhatia family did protest against the ritual for which the furious family tied their hands with rope, Zee News reported.

As per the sources, the Police are claiming the injury marks on the boys hands are due to retaliation against the ritual.

The notes found in the house were written in Priyanka’s hand writing which discussed about ‘Badh tapasya’- in which people get into a banyan tree-formation whose branches hang around. The notes state this ritual would make God happy along with diaries that spoke about road to God.

According to a senior Police, Lalit who claimed that he was possessed by his father’s spirit is being probed now.

“It is being investigated whether such things were planted in Lalit’s mind by someone close to him or was he suffering from a psychological disorder. The probe ahead will now focus on ascertaining if there was any external influence,” he said.

The officer further added, “Lalit’s wife Tina had told her sisters and some other relatives that Lalit had sometimes been possessed by his father’s spirit. However, they claimed that they had never seen him behave in a weird way.”

“They never even gave it a thought that it might be a cause of concern since there was no harm caused to any of the family members due to his behaviour. Instead, the family prospered during the last 11 years when Lalit had started getting those delusions.”

Contrary to the relatives claims, Lalit’s brother and sister, have no idea about the same stated the Police.
