Cameron Monaghan to exit ‘Shameless’

New Delhi : American actor Cameron Monaghan is officially leaving comedy series ‘Shameless’ after season 9.

Monagham, who played Ian Gallagher in the popular series, announced his exit in a long Instagram post writing “all good things come to an end.”

Posting a few candid pictures from his ‘Shameless’ shoot days, the 25-year-old wrote, ” All good things come to an end. An old cliche, but one that rings true with a sincerity and clarity especially in moments like these. Everything ends.”

He added, “The next episode will be my last. This role has been a joy to inhabit, a wild and special ride, and I’d like to thank #Shameless as well as you, the viewers, for being there with him. Goodbye, Ian Clayton Gallagher. We’ll meet again?”

This comes after actor Emmy Rossum announced her exit from the show in August this year.

‘Shameless’ revolves around the story of Frank Gallagher, who is the head of a working-class family in Chicago. His six children suffer because he is a heavy drinker and therefore, Fiona, the eldest daughter, looks after everyone in the house.

Season nine of the series made a debut in September this year with the second half of the expanded season poised to debut in January 2019, reported E! Online.
