Canadian national arrested in Pakistan

Islamabad: A Canadian national was arrested by the officials of Pakistan Customs on Monday at the Islamabad Airport for trying to smuggle heroin outside the country.

According to the Geo TV, the suspect, identified as Brian, was carrying the contraband with the aim to smuggle it to Sharjah, United Aarab Emirates (UAE).

The officials claimed that the drug consignment was worth 15 million Pakistani rupees.

A case has been registered against him in this connection.

Further investigations are underway. (ANI)
