Cardi B rubbishes rumours about her split with Offest

Washington: Singer Cardi B has slammed rumours suggesting that her split with Offset was aimed at garnering publicity.

“I wouldn’t put my family in a bad name for publicity,” the leading rapper said.

Earlier this month, Cardi B a.k.a Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, who welcomed her first child with rapper Offset a.k.a OKiari Kendrell Cephus on July 11 this year, took to Instagram to announce that the couple was calling it quits after a year of being married.

During an Instagram Live session, the ‘I Like It’ singer debunked the rumors and also went on to deny that their relationship was fake.

“I really don’t like how people say that I and my husband-whatever he is right now to me-is doing it for publicity. I wouldn’t put my family in a bad name for no f—ing publicity, ’cause at the end of the day, ten years from now, my daughter is going to look at these type of things and she’s gonna be asking me about it,” she explained.

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper made the announcement of her break-up through an Instagram video, in which she said, “So everybody been bugging me and everything and you know I have been trying to work things out with my baby father. We are really good friends and we are really good business partners- you know he’s always somebody that I run to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.”

“It’s nobody fault I guess we just grew out of love but we are not together anymore. I don’t know it might take time to get a divorce and I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father,” she had concluded.
