Central government must learn a lesson from the failure of its policies in Kashmir: Maulana Mahmood Madani

New Delhi: General Secretary Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind Maulana Mahmood Madani expressed deep concern over the Killing of 7 civilians including 12-year-old boy by the security forces in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district and said such moves be they occur in any region of the world are not acceptable.

According to a press release issued by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, Maulana Madani said history is witness to the fact that the peace could not be established anywhere in the world by killing innocent, nor wars could be won by killing the civilians.

He asked the central government to learn a lesson from the failure of its policies in Kashmir and urged to take effective measures to restore faith among the citizens.

Maulana Madani demanded that the government take strict action against the guilty officers and army jawans and give suitable compensation to the kin of the victims. He stressed the need to make the army accountable.
