BJP national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao has said the amount of subsidies under welfare schemes will be directly credited into the accounts of the beneficiaries.
Addressing the Thiranga rally at Kukatpally Y Junction here on Tuesday, Muralidhar Rao said in earlier days half of the subsidy amount had gone into the hands of brokers. The NDA government has given bank accounts to the poor freely under the Jandan scheme. He said the Centre allotted 85,000 houses to Telangana State and the Centre will allocate more houses in future to see that all the poor will live in standard houses. Some scamsters were not in a position to digest the corruption-free government at the Centre. He said the BJP cadre would strive to see that the schemes introduced by the Prime Minister would reach every poor. Earlier, he garlanded the Ambedkar statue and visited Indira Nagar slum area in Kukatpally. He observed the conditions of the poor in Indira Nagar. (NSS)
