TRS legislator V Srinivas Goud today criticized that the Centre is doing injustice to the Backward Classes. However, the TRS Government is doing well with huge funds for the welfare of the BCs in the state, he claimed.Talking to reporters at TRS Legislature party here, he accused the Centre of failing to take necessary steps for the welfare of the poor and BCs, who made a large chunk of society in the country.
The Centre, out of Rs 20,000 cr budget had allotted just Rs 900 cr for BCs, he deplored. This proves that the NDA Government lacks any plan to help develop the BCs in the country. Under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao the state government is implementing several schemes for the BCs. The government set up a commission for BCs, giving pensions to poor, offering Rs.75116 towards marriage schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak and others, he said. (NSS)
