Centre releases Rs 17.28 cr for NRDW projects

The Union Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation has released Rs 17,88,29,000 to the Telangana State as its share under National Rural Development Water Project Program fund for coverage of water quality and sustainability, towards part of first installment during 2016-17 budget.

            In view of the funds released by the Centre, the Chief Principal Secretary to Panchayat Raj and Rural Development S.P. Singh has accorded administrative sanction to the Engineer-in-Chief, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation for Rs 17,28,66,000 from the Budget provision of 2016-17 as Matching State share towards meeting the expenditure of NRDW projects.
